1. Which type of programming languages do we require to integrate the chat system in our website’s code?
You do not require any specific language on your web site. Just make sure your web site supports html pages. It’s all simple HTML or any language that supports HTML and JAVASCRIPT. If you need help then just let us know and we’ll have our technical support staff assist you.
2. What is the procedure to add Active Reception code on my website?
- When you have configured your website details, you can proceed to generate the requisite HTML.
- From your Administration page, click on the website icon and then click the website you have entered.
- Click “Generate Code”, (below the website details) . On clicking this button the code will automatically be generated for you.
- Now, just copy the code and paste it into the pages on your website

3. Can I use Active Reception on multiple domains?
Yes, you can. We license the application on a Seats & Sites basis making this very easy for you. There is no limit on how many sites you want to add.
4. What kind of hardware and software does my company require to use it?
You do not require any specific hardware or software. For best performance you need to use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
5. Do our web site visitors require any specific platform or Java applet?
Active Reception is made to support any web browser and any operating system. It is best if Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer are used. Java Applets are not required to run on the visitors computer. Active reception functions on a simple Java script. These days almost every browse is Java script enabled.
6. Can I add my company’s logo on the chat window?
Yes, you can put your logo to customize the chat window that your visitors will see.
7. Can we still receive messages if we’re offline?
Yes, when your all operators are logged-out, your web site visitor will see the off-line status graphic. On click of offline graphic visitor can ‘Leave a Message’.
8. Is there a limit for chats? How many clients at once can one operator deal with?
The number of clients the operator can chat with is unlimited. Obviously, the operators own limitations will determine how many chats they can handle. If an operator is inexperienced then a limit can be set manually so they don’t take on too much work at any one time.
